I suggest the next meeting as the 30th of August. If there are any objections, please let me know. As the agenda has not really moved on, we will just continue to look at the menu options in order.
Please note there is a new version of Joomla 1.5.5. It deals with some security issue from the last update. 1.6 is due in Oct 2008, with some features, so we can expect some new features.
Anything that you want to learn/play with our next meeting, or I will charge on regardless?
Thanks Tim, however I will not make it this month either….will get there I promise….will be in Bali for this months meeting….but will endeavour to get there for September as all hols will be over and so will the sport thing.

Just thinking Tim – should we have a process in place that will accommodate new members learning? At present its OK in that the group is still small and new enough to actually benefit from retracing our footsteps and it will very likely further enhance our understandings. However, as we get a little further down the track we would want to be able to welcome new members so that more of us can use Joomla!.

Welcome back. Hope SA was good for you.
Regarding the joining a new member, We can accommodate them as they turn up. I agree with the group reality about our learning level. I will put it to the group when next we meet.

Thanks Tim – yep – SA was great. But glad to be home in Kiama!
Re new members. If there are other groups out there reading KJUG (and it looks as if there are) please feel free to comment on how you accommodate new members’ learning process. It must be a fairly common issue? Possibly one option would be for the group leader to work with the new member – and the rest to work together sharing current work.
