I have added some new stuff to make site easier to use.

• You can logon on and off from the site now. Also you can take RSS feeds by simply clicking on the links. Look to the right column
• I have added some pages that appear at bottom of right column and across top of content.

Can I get an idea for our next meeting? I propose Saturday, 28th June 2008 @ 2pm at the Library. If this is not good for you, please make a suggestion. I will get an agenda for the next meeting asap.

Thanks for the attendance at the first KJUG meeting. I appreciate your interest and look forward to our next meeting (to be decided).

Although XAMPP got the best of us in the end, I am sure we will get around this. If those who had issues please post their error messages I will try and research them to find out how to resolve them. I had a look at XAMPP website this morning and the installation directions seem pretty clear. If you look at the bottom of the page, you will see the solution to the issue.

Also have a look at the video Graeme found to see if that helps.

Please bring along your brains emptied because I will be filling them up. I will be bringing my Joomla resources to share and to give you an overview of what you are in for. It may appear daunting at first, it did for me, but we are about helping each other, so I expect you all to come up to speed at your own rates, but there is some work to do.

I would like to welcome two new members. Will Frampton is a local High School student who has an interest in IT. Tracy Holland who works at JNH Computers is coming along to our first meeting to see what it’s all about. Our little group is growing at a rate faster than I imagined.

If you use Firefox or the latest IE browser, they have the capacity to take RSS feeds off this blog. So, since I expect you will not be coming to visit the site everyday, let it tell you when an update has taken place. I use Feed reader, an open source aggregator that lets you know when updates have occurred. Simply install Feedreader and using the RSS feed icon beside the url on the browser, and click ok when feedreader opens and away ya go. Sounds simple, it is!

Welcome aboard Sandra Griffith. Sandra has a lot of experience using Joomla 1.0.x so she comes with some knowledge to boot. Excellent!
